Our primary reason for visiting Cambodia is to see Angkor Wat, near Siam Reap (and hopefully take some once in a lifetime photographs). The plan is to arrive in Siam Reap from Vietnam. Whether this is a flight or journey up the river is something we intend to decide on route. We hope to be able to view Angkor from a hot air balloon.

We are not sure how much wider we will travel in Cambodia, Phnom Penh looks interesting but will perhaps be avoided. Some of the other areas that have caught our attention include Kirirom National Park and Kratie where it is apparently possible to view Irrawaddy dolphins in the Mekong river.

This really is going to be one of the locations where we will limit our planning and progress depending on how confident we feel.
