Must see list - Malaysian Borneo

Although part of Malaysia this entry looks specifically at what we are planning to do in Malaysian Borneo. This basically falls into two sections at the moment, one a physical challenge and the other a photographic one.

The physical challenge involves South-East Asia's highest peak, Mt Kinabalu. Somehow we are going to make it to the top, on hopefully a day when the air is clear so we can see some amazing panoramic views. It sounds like the best plan following this is to make it to Poring hot springs - and who are we to argue with a little relaxation?

The other place that is on our list is the Sepilok Orang-Utan sanctuary. Having tried our hand a animal photographs at wildlife parks in the UK this may be one place where we have to resort to postcards for the album!

Other than these two places our time in Malaysian Borneo is much like the rest of South-East Asia, we plan to 'go with the flow' and see what happens. Should the opportunity arise we may head to Pulau Sipadan for some diving or to Turtle Island in the north - who knows.
