Vietnam has always been one of the destinations we most wanted to see in asia. The plan is to start at Hanoi and travel to Ho Chi Minh city by train, stopping at Hoi An, Hue and anywhere else that interests us along the way.

Hanoi appears interesting initself but this is increased by the access to Halong Bay which is clearly a destination we have no intention of missing. This will probably mean an extended boat cruise.

Ho Chi Minh City will certainly be an eye opener and we plan to travel from here to see the Cu Chi tunnels among other things. Whether we go from here to the Mekong Delta remains open for debate.
